It shall be the duty of the Building Inspector or any lawfully appointed deputy building inspectors to enforce the provisions of this chapter. The Building Inspector is hereby empowered to make inspections as may be necessary to see to the enforcement of these provisions, and to make any tests or examinations of materials or methods to be used, for the purpose of seeing if they comply with the provisions of this chapter.
