The building inspection fee required by this subchapter shall be:
(A) When the cost of the proposed building or alteration is under $2,500 there is no fee and when the cost is $2,500 to $10,000 the fee is a flat $20;
(B) For each additional $1,000, or fraction thereof, of costs up to $100,000: $2 additional;
(C) For each additional $1,000 of costs over $100,000, up to and including $1,000,000 of costs: $1 additional; and
(D) Per $1,000, or fraction thereof, of costs over $1,000,000: $.50 additional.
