§ 96.109  INSPECTIONS; INSECURE AWNING; SECURING OR REMOVAL.
   It shall be the duty of the Building Inspector to inspect, or cause to be inspected, every awning or canopy which extends over any sidewalk, street, alley, or any public way.  If any awning or canopy is found to be insecurely fastened, he or she shall report this fact to the owner of the awning or to the owner or occupant of the premises on which it is fastened.  If the awning or canopy is not made secure within 10 days after the notice it may be torn down by the Fire Department on order of the Mayor.
