LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GASES
For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GASES. Includes any material composed predominately of propane, propylene, normal butane, isobutane, and butylene, or mixtures of them.

The storage, installation, and use of liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied petroleum gas equipment shall be in accordance with Pamphlets No. 54 and 58 as promulgated by the National Fire Protection Association, which are hereby adopted as fully as if set out herein. Three copies of the pamphlets adopted by this section shall be on file with the City Clerk.

It shall be unlawful to produce, store, or use liquefied petroleum gas, or to install or maintain any equipment for such production or use, unless the production, storage, and utilization equipment is constructed and maintained in compliance with the provisions of this chapter.

No person shall install any system utilizing liquefied petroleum gas in the city without a permit; the person seeking to install this type of equipment shall give notice to the Building Inspector 24 hours prior to the completion of the installation.
