§ 53.018  SPECIFIC POLLUTANT LIMITS.
   (A)   The following pollutant limits are established to protect against pass through and interference.  No person shall discharge wastewater containing in excess of the following instantaneous maximum allowable discharge limits:
      (1)   Arsenic:  1.0 mg/l;
      (2)   BOD5:  240 mg/l;
      (3)   Cadmium:  15 mg/l;
      (4)   Cyanide:  0.8 mg/l;
      (5)   Iron:  10 mg/l;
      (6)   Lead:  2 mg/l;
      (7)   Manganese:  18.8 mg/l;
      (8)   Mercury:  0.003 mg/l;
      (9)   Methanol:  100 mg/l;
      (10)   Nickel:  1.5 mg/l;
      (11)   Oil and grease (petroleum or mineral oil products):  100 mg/l;
      (12)   Selenium:  10 mg/l;
      (13)   Silver:  0.3 mg/l;
      (14)   Total chromium:  50 mg/l;
      (15)   Total suspended solids:  240 mg/l; or
      (16)   Zinc:  3.0 mg/l.
   (B)   Concentrations apply at the point where the industrial waste is discharged to the POTW.  All concentrations for metallic substances are for “total” metal unless indicated otherwise.  At his or her discretion, the Superintendent may impose mass limitations in addition to or in place of the concentration-based limitations above.
