In addition to the liability bond required by Section 1022.05 for any excavation done in the Village, the contractor shall post a five hundred dollar ($500.00) cash bond to insure against damage to Village property, adherence to Village Building Code requirements and completion and clean-up of areas disturbed. The cash bond shall be returned upon completion of the work and upon the approval of the Department of Streets and Public Improvements. If the work is not completed within seven days, except when specifically noted on the permit, the cash bond will be used by the Village to effect compliance with the provisions of this chapter.
