§ 50.06 CHARGES.
   (A)   All water and sewer tap-in fees shall be as determined by the city council. Agreements for the installment payment of water or sewer tap-in fees shall be set forth in written contracts executed by the city and the respective parties responsible for payment of the fees.
   (B)   The charges for making connections to the water mains of the system shall be as follows:
      (1)   Residence water tap-in.
         (a)   Single-family residence, multi-family residence each unit, condominium each unit, when adjacent city-owned water lines are available:
            Rate: $2,200 per single-family residence, multi-family residence each unit, condominium each unit.
         (b)   Single-family residence, multi-family residence each unit, condominium each unit, when adjacent city-owned water lines are not available:
            Rate: $2,200 per single-family residence, multi-family residence each unit, condominium each unit, plus the cost of extending the water lines to the property from the nearest existing termination point of city-owned lines. This shall be paid for entirely by the property owner. The lines shall be deeded to and maintained by the city.
      (2)   Residence sewer tap-in.
         (a)   Single-family residence, multi-family residence each unit, condominium each unit, when adjacent city-owned sewer lines are available:
            Rate: $1,800 per single-family residence, multi-family residence each unit, condominium each unit.
         (b)   Single-family residence, multi-family residence each unit, condominium each unit, when adjacent city-owned sewer lines are not available:
            Rate: $1,800 per single-family residence, multi-family residence each unit, condominium each unit, plus the cost of extending the sewer lines to the property from the nearest existing termination point of city-owned lines. This shall be paid for entirely by the property owner. The lines shall be deeded to and maintained by the city.
      (3)   Business developments water tap-in.
         (a)   $.32 per square foot of land area, when adjacent city-owned water lines are available.
         (b)   $.32 per square foot of land area, when adjacent city-owner water lines are not available, plus the cost of extending the water lines to the property from the nearest existing termination point of city-owned lines. This shall be paid for entirely by the property owner. The lines shall be deeded to and maintained by the city.
      (4)   Business developments sewer tap-in.
         $.26 per square foot of land area, when adjacent city-owned sewer lines are available.
         $.26 per square foot of land area, when adjacent city-owned sewer lines are not available, plus the cost of extending the sewer lines to the property from the nearest existing termination point of city-owned lines. This shall be paid for entirely by the property owner. The lines shall be deeded to and maintained by the city owner.
   (C)   All of the above rates do not include the cost of a new meter. Any permitted new construction, addition, or remodel requiring a new or larger meter shall include the following meter fees in addition to the tap-in-fees.
      (1)   Residential.
         (a)   5/8" x 3/4" meter with remote reader: $665.
         (b)   1" meter with remote reader: $750.
         (c)   1 ½" meter with remote reader: $1,205.
         (d)   2" meter with remote reader: $1,530.
      (2)   Commercial.
         (a)   1 ½" meter with remote reader: $2,320.
         (b)   2" meter with remote reader: $3,460.
         (c)   3" meter with remote reader: $4,230.
         (d)   4" meter with remote reader: $6,862.
         (e)   6" meter with remote reader: $11,810.
   (D)   Miscellaneous fees and charges:
      (1)   Water/sewer service repair permit: $115 or 1% of the construction cost, whichever is greater.
      (2)   Filling swimming pools and for contractors or landscapers utilizing city fire hydrant: $100 or the cost of actual metered water at a commercial non-resident rate, whichever is greater and a $600 meter rental deposit.
      (3)   All fees listed in § 50.06 include inspection fees.
