§ 94.01 PERMIT REQUIRED.
   (A)   A person commits an offense if the person/business operates or causes to be operated an alarm system without a valid permit. A separate permit is required for each site.
   (B)   All permits are renewed January 1 and expire December 31. Only pro-rated fees will be charged to permit holders whose operational date is confirmed with the alarm company as being effective after June 1.
   (C)   (1)   Any alarm cancellations must be made in writing to the Alarms Division of the city’s Police Department to effectively cancel a permit.
      (2)   Failing to cancel an alarm permit may result in the accumulation of alarm fees/penalties.
      (3)   Permits can not be transferred to another permit holder.
      (4)   Any changes must be notified to the Permit Office.
   (D)   (1)   The permit holder will be fined a fee of $50 per false alarm after the fifth false alarm per calendar year.
      (2)   No service fee will apply for the first 60 days of a new permit holder.
      (3)   One shall make the check/money order payable to the “City of Palmview”; one shall not send cash. Payments may be taken at the Permits Office window (400 W. Veteran’s Boulevard, Palmview, TX).

§ 94.03 PERMIT REGISTRATION; CANCELLATION.
   (A)   One shall submit a completed form by fax to (956) 581-7494 or in person to:
   City of Palmview
   Permits Office
   400 W. Veterans Boulevard
   Palmview, TX 78572
   (B)   Copies of false alarm logs are available upon written request. One shall submit written request to the city’s Police Department via mail, fax or in person. All requests will be replied in writing. If a person has additional questions, he or she shall contact the Permits Office at (956) 432-0300.
