§ 38.02 COUNTY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
   (A)   Pursuant to KRS 78.510 through 78.990, the City Council authorizes the city and the employees and officers thereof to participate in the county employees retirement system, effective June 1, 2003, and that all eligible regular full-time officers and employees are hereby authorized and directed to comply with the statutory requirements of this retirement system.
   (B)   All the employees and officers whose duties require an average of 100 hours of actual work during each working month be considered as regular full-time employees for county retirement purposes, except those employees of agencies excluded as shown below which may participate in the system as a separate agency and those other person who are employed as “temporary,” “part-time” and “seasonal” workers, as defined in KRS 78.510(21) of the County Employees Retirement Laws.
   (C)   The Mayor is considered full-time and City Council members are considered part-time employees for county employees retirement system purposes.
