§ 90.13 EXCEPTIONS.
   The prohibition provided in § 90.12 of this chapter shall not apply to the following:
   (A)   Service animal. Service animals accompanying a person with a disability; (SERVICE ANIMAL is defined herein as defined in the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), 28 C.F.R. § 36.104: “Service animal means any guide dog, signal dog or other animal individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of the individual with a disability, including, but not limited to, guiding individuals with impaired vision, alerting individuals with impaired hearing to intruders or sounds, providing minimal protection or rescue work, pulling a wheelchair or fetching dropped items”.)
   (B)   Public safety animal. Any dog or other animal trained in search and rescue missions, identifying contraband or for other law enforcement or public safety purposes in service to law enforcement or other public safety personnel; and/or
   (C)   Animal in transit. Any dog, cat or other common domestic household pet in transit provided such animal is confined in a transit kennel or on a leash, not exceeding eight feet in length, held by the owner or owner’s agent. Further, such animal may only be in that part of the airport terminal known as the “24-hour vestibule” located in the south part of the terminal building inside the entrances off the auto parking lot and airplane parking apron.
