(a) Upon separation from service an employee shall be entitled to compensation at his current rate of pay for all lawfully accrued and unused vacation leave to his credit at the time of separation up to two years.
(b) In case of death of an employee such unused vacation leave shall be paid in accordance with Ohio R.C. 2113.04 or to his estate.

(c) Upon retirement, an employee shall receive payment of accrued but unused sick leave for active service with the Village if the employee has at least eight years of service as a public employee. Such payment shall be made only once to any employee. The amount of the payment shall be one-fourth of the employee’s accrued but unused sick leave, up to a maximum payment of:

Payment under this policy shall eliminate all sick leave credit accrued by the employee at the time of payment.
(d) Payment of accrued but unused sick leave will be made to the estate of a deceased employee. The amount of the payment shall be one fourth of the employee’s accrued but unused sick leave up to a maximum payment as established in subsection (c) hereof. Such payment shall be made in compliance with Ohio R.C. 2113.04.
