(a) Uniforms, leather goods, brass and cloth badges shall be provided and replaced by the Village for regular and special police officers on an “as needed” basis. The necessity for same shall be documented and certified by the Chief of Police to Council in his monthly report.
(b) In addition, the Village shall replace all damaged uniforms, leather goods, brass and cloth badges for Auxiliary Policemen subject to the same documentation and certification requirements by the Chief of Police.
(c) All uniforms, leather goods, brass and cloth badges of regular and special police officers shall remain the property of the Village as shall all replaced items for Auxiliary police officers. (Ord. 1161. Passed 1-3-86.)
