(a) While operating a trolley bar bike on the streets within the Village, any owner or operator shall comply with any and all laws pertaining to motor vehicles including, without limitation, safety requirements and insurance requirements.
(b) While a trolley bar bike is being operated on the streets of the Village of Ottawa, it shall at all times comply with the requirements of the Trolley Bar Bike Low Speed Motor Vehicle Inspection Sheet.
(c) The operator (driver) of the trolley bar bike must have a valid driver’s license.
(d) The operator (driver) must maintain the trolley bar bike within two (2) feet of the right-side-curb giving right of way to passing passenger vehicles.
(e) Except as otherwise stated in this section, no trolley bar bike shall be operated upon any street in the Village where the posted speed limit is greater than thirty-five (35) miles per hour. (Ord. 20-23. Passed 12-14-20.)
(f) Except for the purpose of crossing over the street, and except for that portion of U.S. 224 between the Car-E-It Party Shop heading west to Moe Street, no person shall operate a trolley bar bike upon that portion of State Route 65 and U.S. 224 located within the Village limits as highlighted on the map of the Village of Ottawa, a copy of which is attached to Ordinance 12-18 as Exhibit “B”. (g) When driving on State Route 15 and allowable sections of State Route 65 and U.S. 224, the operator (driver) shall exit the highway with right turn only so as not to cross in front of passing passenger vehicles.

(i) No trolley bar bike passenger shall be under the age of twenty-one (21) to consume alcohol. (Ord. 21-07. Passed 4-12-21.)
(j) Trolley bar bike accessories shall not consist of glass bottles, glasses or other breakable items.
(k) Trolley bar bikes shall consist of safety requirement lighting and shall not have any bright flashing entertainment lighting.
(l) Trolley bar bike excursions shall comply with Village of Ottawa Noise Ordinance Chapter 532.
(m) No trolley bar bike shall be operated on any sidewalk, except to cross the sidewalk as may be necessary from time to time.
