929.01 WATER TAP-IN CHARGES.
   (EDITOR’S NOTE: Pursuant to Ordinance 1281, passed April 22, 1991, Council has adopted additional tap-in charges for the Eastowne Drive Trunk Water Main Project. Copies of the ordinance are on file at City Hall.)
   (a)   All water connections from individual properties to the main lines of the Village of Ottawa, Ohio shall be made by the employees of the Village upon payment of the following charges:
 
(1)
3/4" water line
$1,200.00
(2)
1" water line
1,500.00
(3)
1.5" water line and larger
This charge is to be established by negotiation between the owner and Council.
   (b)   Single family, dual family, three family and four family dwellings shall have separate taps for each dwelling. New and replacement meters larger than the standard residential meter, 5/8", shall be at the cost of the owner. The owner shall request and purchase the meter through the Village in order for standard specifications to be met.
   (c)   Taps made by Village personnel on service lines not owned by the Village of Ottawa shall be charged as listed above plus twenty percent (20%) or the actual cost of installation plus twenty percent (20%) whichever is higher. In certain circumstances, taps on service lines not owned by the Village of Ottawa may be performed by qualified individuals as approved and inspected by the Village of Ottawa at a cost of four hundred and twenty dollars ($420.00).
