(a) There is hereby granted by the Village to the Company the nonexclusive right and privilege to erect structures and to construct, operate and maintain upon, along, across, in, above and over the streets, alleys, public ways and public places now laid out or dedicated and all extensions thereof, and additions thereto within the Village, towers, poles, lines, wires, cables and other television conductors and fixtures necessary for the maintenance and operation in the Village of a community antenna television system for the interception, receiving, amplifying, selling and distributing television, electronic, electrical and radio signals, audio and video, to the Village and its residents
(b) There is further granted by the Village to the Company the right and privilege to attach or otherwise affix cable, wires and other necessary apparatus to the pole facilities of any public utility company, even though the same may cross the streets, sidewalks, public lands and highways of the Village, provided that the Company or its successors or assigns secures the permission or consent of the public utility companies concerned to affix such cables or wires or other apparatus to their pole facilities.
(c) No resident of the Village shall be required to subscribe to the service provided by the Company. (Ord. 851. Passed 9-28-70.)
