2-4-6: CEMETERY LOTS AND NICHES:
   A.   Right Of Interment: The purchaser of a grave, lot or other parcel of ground, including niches, is granted or conveyed only the right of interment of human remains and the right of installation of a memorial on each lot, grave or other parcel of ground, including niches. The owner of the right of interment does not possess a fee interest or any other interest in the land itself. Title and rights to interment shall be governed by chapter 68.32 Revised Code Of Washington, as now existing or as hereafter amended or adopted.
   B.   Purchase; Interment Rights: For each grave, lot or other parcel of ground sold in the cemetery, including niches, a "certificate of ownership - interment rights" (hereinafter "certificate") shall be issued to the purchaser thereof, which shall be signed by the mayor and city clerk as are other conveyances for the city. No certificate shall be delivered until the purchase price of the grave, lot or niche has been fully paid to the city. Previously issued "cemetery deeds" that were provided pursuant to the former cemetery code will still be honored. Any reference to interment rights throughout this code shall also refer to previously issued cemetery deeds.
   C.   Resale Of Lots To City: No cemetery lot, tract, grave space or niche purchased from the city shall be resold to any person other than the city. The city will return, upon written application, the purchase price of any lot, tract, grave space or niche at the price originally charged by the city. (Ord. 2015-969, 7-29-2015)
