11-4-5: VOLCANIC HAZARD AREAS:
   A.   Title Notification:
      1.   All title documents for existing and proposed parcels located within both the Orting city boundary and those areas designated as class I or class II volcanic hazard areas, as identified in subsection 11-3-3D of this title shall contain the following notice:
This property is located in an area which may be subject to mudflows caused by seismic or volcanic activity and originating on Mount Rainier.
      2.   All title documents for existing and proposed parcels located both outside Orting city boundary and within the Orting school district shall contain the following notice:
The schools within the Orting School District are located in areas which may be subject to mudflows caused by seismic or volcanic activity and originating on Mount Rainier.
An evacuation plan for Orting school district schools located both within the Orting city boundary and those areas designated as class I or class II volcanic hazard areas, shall be on file and available for public inspection upon request. The plan shall address the potential hazards of a mudflow origination on Mount Rainier and specifically outline steps for removing students, faculty, and visitors from school facilities, from the dangers associated with a mudflow originating from seismic or volcanic activity on Mount Rainier. In addition, the Orting school district shall conduct periodic evacuation drills throughout the school year to ensure efficient evacuation procedures from year to year.
   B.   Public Facility Notification:
      1.   Public facilities located both within the Orting city boundary and those areas designated as class I or class II volcanic hazard areas, as defined in subsection 11-3-3D of this title shall provide the following notification as part of their admittance or registration agreements:
This facility is located in an area which may be subject to mudflows caused by seismic or volcanic activity and originating on Mount Rainier.
An evacuation plan for all public facilities shall be on file and available for public inspection upon request. The plan shall address the potential hazards of a mudflow origination on Mount Rainier and specifically outline steps for removing staff and visitors from the dangers associated with a mudflow originating from seismic or volcanic activity on Mount Rainier.
      2.   These public facilities include, but are not limited to:
         a.   Hospitals and other medical facilities having surgery and emergency treatment areas;
         b.   Buildings for colleges or adult education schools;
         c.   Medical facilities with fifty (50) or more resident incapacitated persons. (1973 Code § 15.24.050)
