Any business license application submitted under the provisions of this chapter may be denied, and any business license issued under the provisions of this chapter may be revoked, or suspended at any time, as provided for in this chapter. No person may engage in business or continue to engage in business for which a business license has been denied, revoked or suspended; provided that, this prohibition shall not apply to the extent that such suspension or revocation has been stayed pursuant to the provisions of this chapter or lawful order of a court of competent jurisdiction.
