917.01 PERMIT REQUIRED PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
   No person shall construct any driveway or entrance from any public street or alley in the Municipality over any berm, sidewalk or curb upon any street or alley to any private property bounding or abutting on the street or alley or to remove or disturb any berm or curb on any street or alley, for the purpose of installing a driveway or entrance without first obtaining a permit to do so from the Administrator.

917.02 FEES.
   The fee for a permit to construct driveways shall be as adopted by Council in the fee schedule. (Ord. 14-06. Passed 5-22-06.)
917.03 EXPIRATION OF PERMIT.
   All permits provided herein shall become null and void ninety days from the date of issuance, if not used. Any money paid therefor shall not be refunded unless the unused permit is returned within the ninety days after the date of issuance. No permit shall be issued except to the owner of the premises or his authorized agent or contractor. The Administrator may refuse any permit in any case when, in the interests of public safety such permit should not be granted.

917.04 WIDTH OF DRIVEWAY LIMITED; EXCEPTIONS.
   No single driveway or entrance at ingress or egress to commercial driveways or street approaches shall exceed thirty-five feet in width at the curb line, where there are curbs, or thirty- five feet in width at the roadway, where there are no curbs. Provided, however, in hardship cases where the public interest is involved, Council may, upon proper application and payment of a fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) by the owner of the premises or his authorized agent, authorize the issuance of a driveway or entrance permit in excess of thirty-five feet by resolution.
