§ 112.66 TOWING VEHICLES CALLED ON ROTATION BASIS; EXCEPTION.
The Chief of Police may ensure that towing vehicles are called to the scene of an accident or to impound vehicles on a rotation basis, distributing the calls on an equitable basis from the towing list. The Chief shall not call or cause to be called any towing vehicle not licensed with the city unless all licensed towing vehicles are unavailable. The Chief may call a towing vehicle out of sequence where proximity to the wreck and estimated response time make it more practical to do so. The heavy-duty vehicle towing list may be used pursuant to § 112.64 when heavy-duty towing is required. However, the Chief of Police at his or her discretion may include on the towing list, contingency vehicle towing services that do not meet eligibility requirements in emergency cases tow services exceed capacity of registered firms.
