(A) Aprons or other accessways constructed from the edge of the pavement of a curbed city street across public and/or private property to serve residential, commercial or other purposes can be of asphalt, concrete or brick paver materials. Any material installed in the apron of other than plain concrete or plain asphalt will be installed at the owner's risk. An apron or accessway of an alternate material such as brick paver, stamped, colored or aggregate concrete or stamped asphalt will require a waiver from the owner releasing and absolving the city of any responsibility or liability in connection with the apron or accessway. The waiver must be signed by owner at time of building permit procurement. New driveway and apron or replacement of driveway and apron shall be of the same material.
(B) The concrete and any supporting material shall conform with the concrete specifications as listed in § 90.059 above. Concrete shall not be poured prior to inspection.
(C) The asphalt and any supporting material shall conform with the asphalt specifications as listed in § 90.060 above. Asphalt shall not be poured prior to inspection.
(D) The brick pavers and any supporting material shall conform with ASTM C 902 Standard Specification for Pedestrian and Light Traffic Paving Brick. Brick pavers shall not be installed prior to inspection.
(E) Public sidewalk construction must follow § 90.015 above. Public sidewalks must be of plain concrete and separate of apron and driveway.
