The following words and phrases when used in this title shall, for the purpose of this title, have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section, except when the context otherwise requires and except where another definition set forth in another chapter of this title and applicable to that chapter or a designated part thereof is applicable:
BICYCLE PATH OR BIKEWAY: That portion of a trail or path improved and so designated as a bicycle trail exclusively used by bicycles and pedestrian traffic.
PUBLIC BUILDING: A building used by any municipality, any county, any park district, school district, the state of Illinois, or the United States government.
RESIDENT: Every natural person who resides in the village of Oak Brook shall be deemed a resident of the village.
VILLAGE: The village of Oak Brook. (Ord. G-642, 8-24-1999)
