The police department shall have the right to inspect any alarm system installed pursuant to this chapter both prior to and subsequent to the issuance of a permit therefor, at any reasonable time to determine whether a permit should be issued, or, if issued, whether the alarm system is being used in conformity with the terms of the permit and the provisions of this chapter.
