3-3-15: LOCAL DISASTER EMERGENCIES:
   A.   A local disaster may be declared only by the Village President, or interim emergency successor, as provided in Section 7 of the Emergency Interim Executive Succession Act (5 ILCS 275/7 et seq.). It shall not be continued or renewed for a period of more than seven (7) days except by or with the consent of the Village Board of Trustees. Any order or proclamation declaring, continuing, or terminating a local disaster shall be given prompt and general publicity and shall be filed promptly with the Village Clerk.
   B.   The effect of a Declaration of Disaster is to activate the Emergency Operations Plan of the Village of Oak Brook and to authorize the furnishing of aid and assistance thereunder. (Ord. G-1252, 2-27-2024)
