SECTION 5.04. DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE.

The Director of Finance shall be the chief fiscal officer of the City and shall perform, except as otherwise provided by ordinance, the functions assigned generally to City Auditors and City Treasurers by general law and such other duties not inconsistent with his/her office as may be assigned to him/her by ordinance or by the Chief Executive Officer. The Director of Finance shall be appointed and discharged by the Norwalk City Council.
