Canopies supported only by cantilever members or brackets from the building, similar to, and constructed of materials as required for, entrance canopies, may be used for the sheltering of perishable foods under conditions and exceptions as follows:
(a) They shall not extend beyond the street line.
(b) They shall not extend beyond the building line, unless authorized by the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals.
(c) The provisions of Section 1484.04(b) through (e) for ground-supported awnings shall apply.
(d) A building permit shall be obtained before any such canopy is erected and the fee shall be as provided in Section 1426.32(h).
