(a) No contractor or subcontractor shall perform any work within the City without a current certificate of contractor registration from the Superintendent of Building and Zoning.
(b) Examples of contractors and subcontractors requiring registration:
(1) Alarm.
(2) Asbestos abatement.
(3) Asbestos testing.
(4) Asphalt.
(5) Carpentry and finish.
(6) Cleaning services (new homes).
(7) Communications wiring.
(8) Concrete/masonry.
(9) Demolition/hauling.
(10) Drywall/wallcovering.
(11) Electrical.
(12) Excavating.
(13) Fence.
(14) Fire protection.
(15) Fire alarm.
(16) Flooring.
(17) General contractor.
(18) Grubbing (lot clearing).
(19) Gutter/downspouts.
(20) Heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC).
(21) House movers.
(22) Hydronics, steam, gas insulation.
(23) Lead abatement and testing.
(24) Lighting/fixture installation (new homes).
(25) Painting (interior and exterior).
(26) Plumbing.
(27) Radon abatement and testing.
(28) Refrigeration.
(29) Reliner/renovater.
(30) Roofing (commercial and residential).
(31) Sewer/septic installation.
(32) Siding (install and clean).
(33) Signs/graphics.
(34) Sprinklers (yard and commercial).
(35) Structural steel.
(36) Swimming pool/spa.
(37) Tile/grouting.
(38) Waterproofing.
(39) Vacuum systems.
