1482.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)   "Swimming and/or wading pool" means an artificial body of water, not enclosed in a building, with a controlled water supply that is over twenty-four inches in depth or that has more than 400 square feet of surface area, intended for use by numbers of persons for swimming or recreative bathing, and includes pools constructed upon premises, which are intended to be permanent, and pools which by their nature are portable and can be moved from place to place.
   (b)   "Private pool" means one constructed or located upon premises and used only by the owner thereof and his or her family, neighbors and guests, and for which use no fee or remuneration is charged.
   (c)   "Public pool" means one used by persons other than the owner thereof and for which use a fee or remuneration is charged by the owner or which is used by members of a club or association.
