1063.01 FEES FOR SERVICE; BILLING PROCEDURES; PROCEEDS; EXCEPTIONS.
   (a)   Fees. The City shall charge each person to whom the City provides emergency medical services a fee as set forth in Chapter 214 of the Administration Code.
   (b)   Billing Procedures. The Director of Finance and the Fire Chief of the City are hereby authorized to establish the billing procedures for the provision of emergency medical services for all persons.
   (c)   Proceeds. Proceeds from emergency medical service fees shall be deposited in the Fire Capital Improvement Fund and used to pay costs of providing buildings, apparatus, and equipment for the Fire Department operations in the City. For 2015 only, up to $200,000 of the proceeds from emergency medical service fees shall be deposited in the Fire Pension Fund to be used for fire pension expenditures.
   (d)   Waiving of Fees. The Fire Chief may waive the aforesaid fee, or a portion thereof, when he finds and determines that the person receiving the services is indigent or otherwise unable to pay for such services and that there is no other source of payment thereof.
   (e)   Effective Date. The fees charged under this chapter shall apply to emergency medical services provided to all persons on and after August 1, 2002.
