A developer, home builder or contractor, in constructing driveways for residential, industrial or commercial buildings in the City, shall so construct the same as to have clearance of at least six feet from any fire hydrant and/or public utility installation on the tree lawn. If an existing fire hydrant and/or public utility installation is closer than six feet, the same shall be moved the required distance at the expense of the developer, home builder or contractor. Such fire hydrant and/or public utility installation shall be moved by the City upon deposit with the Director of Public Service and Properties of the sum required to cover the entire cost of such movement.
No permit for occupancy of the premises shall be given until the provisions of this section are complied with.
