There is hereby established the position of Clerk of the Mayor's Court of the Municipality. The Clerk shall be appointed by the Mayor, shall serve at his or her pleasure and shall perform such clerical duties on behalf of the Municipality as may be assigned by the Mayor from time to time. Whenever the person appointed to the position of Clerk of the Mayor's Court is also serving as Secretary to the Mayor, no compensation shall be paid the Clerk for the performance of his or her duties. If the Clerk is not also serving as Secretary to the Mayor, then the Clerk shall draw such compensation as Council may by ordinance provide.
