254.13 MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR III-II-I.
   (a)   In General.
      (1)   The Motor Equipment Operator III-II-I must be qualified to operate equipment and vehicles necessary to the proper operation and functions of the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
      (2)   The Motor Equipment Operator shall be on call twenty-four hours a day and must provide his or her own transportation to and from the job site.
   (b)   Distinguishing Features of the Class. The Motor Equipment Operator must maintain or cause to be maintained records of all maintenance on motorized equipment and/or vehicles. The Motor Equipment Operator will furnish a written report to his or her supervisor in case any vehicle which he or she is driving is involved in an accident or otherwise damaged.
   (c)   Duties. The Motor Equipment Operator will be required to be familiar with the above-mentioned equipment so that he or she can operate said equipment in a safe and professional way.
   (d)   Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
      (1)   The Motor Equipment Operator must possess the abilities necessary to upgrade his or her knowledge of new equipment as it becomes necessary. He or she must have a good driving record.
      (2)   The Motor Equipment Operator will be required to tarp bins that are loaded on vehicles. This will require that he or she climb the side rail of the vehicle and spread and fasten a ten-foot tarp over the bin before entering a public highway. He or she will perform other labor duties as directed by a supervisor.
   (e)   Basic Qualifications. The Motor Equipment Operator must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a current, valid commercial driver's license. The Motor Equipment Operator must possess a high degree of clarity in the English language, both oral and written, as well as the ability to use a standard phone system in a professional manner. The Motor Equipment Operator must possess the skills and ability to use a standard self-contained breathing apparatus.
