240.07 RULES AND ORDERS.
   The Chief of Police, with the approval of the Mayor, may, from time to time, make, alter, amend and abolish such other rules and orders for the conduct of the Police Department and the better accomplishment of its purposes and functions as are not inconsistent with this chapter or otherwise contrary to law. Such rules and orders may include work schedules, duties, routes, beats and patrols and such other matters of dress and deportment as are reasonably necessary in the operation of the Department. Such orders shall be in writing and shall be available at all times at the headquarters of the Department for the inspection of all who may be concerned therewith.
