§ 50.03 TRASH BURNING REGULATIONS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to burn or set fire to any leaves, rubbish, paper, or any other combustible material of any kind in any street, lane, alley, lot, yard, or any public or private ground in the village except as provided in the following divisions of this section.
   (B)   The owner or occupier of land may burn, upon his or her own land, leaves, paper, or other refuse between sunrise and sundown, provided such leaves, paper, or refuse are burned in a suitable wire basket or metal container with a wire or solid metal cover thereon, and placed not less than 20 feet from any building or structure and attended by a competent person not less than 16 years of age who must be continuously present while said fire is burning.
   (C)   The owner or occupier of land may, between the hours of sunrise and sunset, burn leaves, paper, and wood in an open bonfire upon his or her own property, provided said bonfire is at least 20 feet from any building or structure and is attended by a competent person at least 16 years of age who must be continuously present while said bonfire is burning.
   (D)   In the event the Chief of the Fire Department deems it unsafe to permit any fire and so notifies the owner or occupier of the premises, such owner or occupier shall desist from causing such fire.
