A. Automatic voice dialing devices as defined in section 5-10-1 of this chapter, shall, within sixty (60) days from the effective date of this section, be disconnected from any primary trunk line of the city. A user of an automatic voice dialing device may, at its discretion, obtain a central answering point other than the city.
B. Local alarms shall not resemble the sound of any official emergency signals or civil defense alarms. All local alarms shall have the capacity to reset themselves within fifteen (15) minutes of activation. Local alarms in use on the effective date of this section shall have ninety (90) days to comply with the requirements of this section. In the interim pending such compliance the alarm user must reset any local alarm within thirty (30) minutes. (Ord. O-04-94, 3-7-1994)
