3-1-15: CONDITIONS FOR BUSINESSES OPEN TO PUBLIC:
All businesses or commercial establishments licensed under this Chapter which invite the public generally into their establishments for the purpose of conducting business, commercial activity or any other activity licensed under this Chapter shall be subject to the following regulations in addition to all other applicable provisions of this Code:
   A.   Sanitary Premises: All areas within the licensed premises where the public may enter shall be kept in a safe and sanitary condition.
   B.   Deceptive Practices Prohibited: All business or commercial establishments subject to this Section shall refrain from all deceptive trade practices as defined by State or Federal law or regulation and shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding consumer protection and deceptive trade practices. In the event of any such violation, the business license of the establishment may be revoked pursuant to the provisions of this Chapter.
   C.   Diseased Employees Prohibited: It shall be unlawful to employ in any premises open to the public or engaged in the transportation, processing, preparation or packaging of food or beverages any person whom the employer knows or should have known, based upon reasonable observation, was afflicted with or who is a carrier of any contagious or infectious disease, and it shall be unlawful for any person who knows or should have known that he was afflicted with or a carrier of any such disease to work in or about any such premises.    D.   Required Parking Area Lighting: All parking areas surrounding or within the legal boundaries of the licensed premises where the public or employees may enter shall be illuminated with low sodium vapor lights. All existing businesses shall have until May 1, 1996, to install low sodium vapor fixtures. (Ord. 0-63-95, 11-20-95)
