   A.   Each license shall indicate its term. All annual licenses shall be operative, and the license year for the Municipality shall commence on May 1 of each year. No license shall be granted for a period longer than one year. Except where otherwise provided herein, every license shall expire on April 30 following the date of issuance.
   B.   The Clerk shall endeavor to notify each annual licensee of the time of expiration of the license held by the licensee at least twenty one (21) days prior to such expiration date; provided, however, that a failure to make such notification or the licensee's failure to receive it shall not exclude the licensee from the obligation to obtain a new license or a renewal.    C.   Except as otherwise provided herein, each license may be renewed upon proper application, payment of the required fee and proof of payment of any lien, fine, penalty, charge or charges in arrears owed to the City. The requirements and procedures for granting and issuing a license renewal shall be the same as the requirements and procedures for granting a new license.
   D.   Other Fees: No license issued pursuant to this chapter shall be renewed or issued if the licensee or applicant owes any other fee, tax, penalty of any nature to the City. (Ord. O-19-93, 6-7-1993; amd. Ord. O-24-95, 6-5-1995; Ord. O-10-2021)
