3-1-6: LICENSE FEES:
   A.   Fee Schedule: License fees, under the terms of this Chapter, for the businesses, occupations, activities and uses set forth, shall be as provided in the fee schedule which is a part of this Code 1 . License fees shall be paid annually unless otherwise provided, and proof of any bond or liability insurance policy required by this Code shall be provided with the license fee.
   B.   Late Penalty: If the applicant fails to pay the license fee on or before May 1, the licensee shall be assessed an amount equal to one-half (1/2) the license fee provided in the fee schedule for reinstatement expenses and costs. The fee set forth herein shall be in addition to any other remedies or penalties set forth in this Chapter.
   C.   Prorated Fee For Permanent New Businesses: The license fee for a permanent new business applicant shall be prorated when said applicant has not engaged in the business until after the first quarter of the current license year, that being May 1 through July 31. After July 31 of current license year, the license fee shall be prorated by quarters, according to the type of business license, and said prorated fee shall be paid for each quarter during which the business has been or will be conducted. Such proration shall not be applied to temporary or seasonal business applicants. (Ord. O-24-95, 6-5-1995)
