Injury leave is time away from work because the employee is disabled due to an injury whether caused by external accidental means or accidental in character received in the course of or arising out of the injured employee's employment with the Village. The determination of eligibility for commencement and termination of injury leave status shall be made by the appointing authority subject to review by the Council upon written request by the employee within 10 days of any such determination. The employee shall be required as a condition of eligibility for injury leave status to furnish the Council information as required by them necessary to make a determination.
