(a) All current and future full-time, hourly and salaried employees (excluding all contract, seasonal, and part-time employees and elected officials) of the Village shall receive longevity pay for continuous service with the Village as follows:

(b) Longevity pay shall be calculated commencing three years from the first day of employment (anniversary date) and shall be paid to eligible employees, except that, with the adoption of this subsection (Res. R-97-020, passed July 7, 1997), all current, eligible salaried employees shall use January 1, 1996, as their three-year anniversary date.
