Probationers may be removed, demoted, or disciplined at any time during the probationary period by written notice to the employee by the appointing authority if and when the department head or immediate supervisor indicates that his/her performance is unsatisfactory. Such removal or demotion shall not be subject to appeal. Copies of all such notices involving removal or demotion shall be filed with the Council.
