(a) Public and Semi-Public Buildings. Hospitals, schools, churches, and other public and semi-public buildings may exceed the height limitations of the district, except as provided in Sections 1149.12
, if the minimum depth of rear yards and the minimum width of side yards required in the district regulations are increased one foot for each two feet by which the height of such public and semi-public building exceeds the prescribed height limit.
(b) Other Structures Permitted Upon Review. Chimneys, elevators, poles, spires, tanks, towers, and other projections not used for human occupancy may exceed the district height limit upon review by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
