(A) In the event application is made by any charitable organization to engage in solicitation within the City, the City Manager shall be authorized to permit such soliciation and can designate streets or City blocks to be used for the same.

(B) Upon the presentation of a written request to conduct a solicitation under the provisions of this section, the City Manager shall cause an investigation to be made concerning said charitable institution and the purpose for which the funds are to be used and shall report to the Board of Commissioners.

(A) Any person, firm, organization, or corporation who violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction be guilty, of a Class B misdemeanor in accordance with the Kentucky Revised Statutes.
(B) In addition, the City Manager shall authorize the Chief of Police to cause the solicitation to immediately cease and all equipment and/or paraphernalia in connection therewith, shall be removed from the street, sidewalk or public right-of- way on which it is located.
