§ 71.21 PERMIT REQUIRED FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL ON STATE ROUTE.
   No traffic-control signal shall be placed or maintained upon an extension of the state highway system within the municipality without obtaining the permission of the Ohio Director of Transportation. The Director may revoke the permission and may remove or require to be removed any traffic-control signal that has been erected without his or her permission on an extension of a state highway within the municipality or that, if erected under a permit granted by the Director, does not conform to the state manual and specifications as required by § 71.20 or that is not operated in accordance with the terms of the permit.
