(a) General Article Penalty. Unless otherwise provided for in this article, any person violating any provision of this article shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00); upon a second conviction within one year thereafter, shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00); and upon a third or subsequent conviction, shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00).
(b) (1) Brakes. Any person violating Sections 345.19
or 345.20
shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) or imprisoned not more than ten days, or both; upon a second conviction within one year thereafter, shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00) or imprisoned not more than twenty days, or both; and upon a third or subsequent conviction, shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both. (2) Jake brakes. Violation of Section 345.36
(a) shall be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00).
(c) Sunscreening Devices. Whoever violates Section 345.34
shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00).

(d) Safety Belts. Any person who violates the provisions of Section 345.35 shall be fined not more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00). No court costs or other fees shall be assessed for a violation of this section.
