§ 74.002 REGISTRATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   License required. No person, who resides within the corporate limits of the town, shall ride or propel a bicycle upon any of the streets, alleys or public grounds, upon any public path set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles unless such bicycle has been licensed and a license plate attached thereto.
   (B)   License fee. The owner of any bicycle, who desired to ride or propel said bicycle upon any of the streets, alleys or public grounds in the town, shall first procure a license for said bicycle from the town, to be issued by the Clerk-Treasurer, and shall pay an annual license fee in the amount of $0.50.
   (C)   Expiration of license. All bicycles licenses issued under the provisions of this section shall expire on January 1 of each year regardless of the date of issue, and in the event any licensed bicycle is sold, the licensee shall promptly notify the Clerk-Treasurer of the name of the new owner, but no new license shall be required for the new owner until the expiration date of the present license.
   (D)   Loss or destruction of bicycle. The loss or destruction of a licensed bicycle shall be reported immediately upon discovery to the Town Police Department.
