§ 91.002 PORCHES, AWNINGS, OR SIGNS STANDING ON SIDEWALKS.
   (A)   (1)   It is unlawful for any person or persons to build or erect any porch, sign, awning, or other structure that may stand upon posts upon any sidewalk in the city.
      (2)   It is also unlawful for any person or persons now having any porch, sign, awning, or other structure erected upon posts upon any sidewalk in the city to rebuild the same.
   (B)   The City Street and Alley Committee is given full power to condemn and remove, at the expense of the owner, any existing porch, sign, awning, or other structure now standing upon any sidewalk in the city that in its judgment may become dangerous or unsafe by reason of decay or other defects.
