Upon a determination that a violation of the provisions of this chapter exists, the Code Enforcement Officer shall ascertain the name of the owner of property abutting the planting strip in which the violation has occurred or exists, and shall serve notice in writing upon the owner of the property, postage prepaid, addressed to the owner at the last known post office address as disclosed by the records of the Salt Lake County Assessor. The notice hereunder shall require the owner to correct or remedy the violation within such time as specified in the notice, which shall be not less than ten (10) days from the date of mailing of the notice.
