A. The purpose of this program is to assist in the cleaning of real and personal property, and to compensate persons for the cleaning and/or loss of real or personal property, damaged or destroyed as the result of a backup of City water or sewage facilities, not caused by the negligence or fault of the City. Assistance and compensation are subject to the restrictions, limitations and other provisions of this chapter.
B. The City Attorney's Office shall establish regulations necessary to provide for the handling of claims and disbursement of those funds which are appropriated for payment of claims under this chapter. (Ord. 16-35)
