(A) No unauthorized person shall uncover, make any connections with or any opening into, use, alter, or disturb any public sewer or appurtenance thereof without first obtaining permission from Murray Sewer System and applying for service to Murray Municipal Utilities.
(B) There shall (2) be two classes of building permits which include sewers: one for residential and commercial service, and the other for service to establishments producing industrial wastes. In either case, the owner(s) or his or her agent shall make application for service on a special form furnished by the city. Applicants for commercial or industrial service shall be required to furnish information about all waste producing activities, wastewater characteristics, amounts, and constituents. The permit application shall be supplemented by any plans, specifications, or other information considered pertinent in the judgment of the Wastewater Inspector. Details regarding commercial and industrial facilities include, but are not limited to, those requirements contained within this chapter. All fees shall be paid to the city at the time the application is filed.
(C) Users shall promptly notify Murray Sewer System in advance of any introduction of wastewater constituents or any substantial change in the volume or character of the wastewater constituents being introduced into the POTW. The Supervisor of the Water Resource Recovery Facility may deny or condition the new introduction or change in discharge based on the information submitted in the notification or additional information as may be requested.
